Girls Camp.

One of the blessings from having Jeremy in the Bishopric is that we got to go up to Girls Camp this week for Bishopric Night! I have been looking forward to it all month long! I only wish I could have spent more time up there with the girls. Anyone who knows me knows that I love the Young Women in our ward and miss that calling SO much. I think about the girls every single day... they are like adopted daughters. It was so much fun to go up to camp... it brought back lots of memories from last year... especially since they got to camp in the same place this year! The campsite is beautiful. It's right behind the Historic John Johnson Farm so it's very likely that the prophet Joseph Smith spent some time on the very land we get to camp on! Jeremy wanted to take a walk together... but I really wanted to spend time with the girls. Sorry honey!
The Bishop and Maya. He gave a wonderful spiritual thought for the girls. I am so glad that we were able to be there for it.
He had about 8 paper bags with smiles on them that represented boys. The girls each chose one bag and opened it up to find different amounts of candy in them. Each piece of candy represented a different characteristic or attribute that that boy had. The object lesson was to find a guy that has lots of different characteristics that you love... not just one or two. I thought it was a great lesson!
Jamara, Graham and I. I'm such a shrimp! All the girls are taller than me! Graham was lucky and got to come with us... it was actually his second time at Girls Camp since I was 7 months pregnant with him when we came last year! Lucky boy...
Bishop Albrecht, his daughter Maya and Jeanettea. (It was always SO embarrassing when your parents came up to camp with you! Poor Maya...)
Jeanettea and Latisha with baby Graham.
He is quite the little charmer... all of the girls love him to pieces! He has lots of girlfriends in this ward!
The men started a great fire for us while the girls went on their 'walk of faith'. We had a lot of fun sitting around the campfire talking with the leaders that were up there with us for the night.
Boys and fire.... I guess it's right up there with boys and video games! (Elliot, Jeremy was wishing you were there to burn anything and everything with him!)
Graham was completely mesmerized by the fire... he thought it was the coolest thing!
Our friends, the Rhodes, are the greatest... not only did they stay at our house to watch the kids (so that they could put them to bed since we wouldn't be home until really late)... they did all of the dishes from the dinner we had together! We couldn't ask for a better family to have just around the corner! Thank you so much you guys!
