I'm a big boy now!

Lincoln has made some major steps this week and is becoming more and more of a big boy every day! He is officially potty trained... all of you moms out there who have been through the process of potty-training a child know what a relief that is! It took a little while, but he's finally got it down. Jeremy had to snap this black-mail shot of him the other day. He was so proud because he finally went #2 (after a week of going on strike and holding it in!)
He earned his new toy since he had mastered going to the bathroom on the big potty and hadn't had any accidents. We had a lot of fun building things with his new Tinkertoys set! We built a helicopter, an airplane and a windmill together! He also started to learn how to write letters this week. He is really good at tracing the letters of his name and has even tried to write it himself one or two times. He's really excited and anxious to go to school in the fall like all of his friends who are a a little older than him. I'm trying to work with him a little each day so that he'll be ready for it when the time comes. I just can't imagine having him in school half the day! I'll miss him too much! I have been so grateful for this little boy lately! He's just my best helper during the day and I love him so much. He is always making me smile whether he's saying something funny like "Oh pickles!" when something gets frustrating... or something sweet like "Thank you mommy for making this yummy dinner for us!" He's just such a good boy. I'm so lucky to have him!
