dancing time!

As promised, here are a few more pictures from Gracie's two days of dancing. The fun began on Thursday night with the dress rehearsal. She had been waiting for a few weeks to wear her teddy bear costume so she was psyched when I pulled it out of the closet and told her it was time to put it on!
She sat so patiently while I did her hair... she was too caught up in her tutu to even notice that I was working on it!
She was especially excited to get her cute button teddy bear nose on!
Jeremy made her pose for a picture before we left... and boy did she pose!
On Friday night was the big recital. I had to arrive early with the girls to help with my Mommy Helper duties so I arranged a carpool with a few other moms. I would take their girls so that they didn't have to go an hour early if they would take Jeremy and my boys with them when they came. It worked out great and I got to take a carload of pretty dancing girls! It gave me a glimpse of what having all girls would have been like! It was too much fun!
Gracie was so excited to find her friend, Kyla when we got there... I managed to capture their hug when they saw each other.
Part of my Mommy Helper job was to keep the girls calm while they were waiting for their turn to practice. One of the other mom's came up with a fun game similar to duck duck goose... but instead of saying duck or goose... they danced in the middle of the circle until they patted a girl on the head and said, Dance! I thought it was a clever way to keep them entertained. Daisy sure liked that game and did such a good job dancing!Unfortunately the batteries ran out on our camera so we weren't able to get any shots of Gracie actually dancing on stage. We'll be better prepared next time for sure! She was such a sweet little dancer!
