Lincoln's pre-school class has a 'book of the week' each week and they've recently started a borrowing system where the kids take turns getting to take the book home. It's been so much fun to us because he's starting to pick up on the words in the books since they read them so often at school. The book for last week was "Brown bear, Brown bear, What do you see?" By Eric Carle. It is one of our favorites. This morning I sent the kids to play in their room while I took a shower and here is what I found when I came out...
Sweet boy! He asked Gracie if he could read her a story... helped her into her bed with his blanket and read her the entire story all by himself! It was such a sweet moment, I had to share.
He even found the companion book "Panda Bear, Panda Bear, what do you see?" and read her that one as well. Then he insisted on bringing the Panda Bear book to school today to share with his class. I love my kids. .
