Gracie girls new hairdo

Growing up in such a big family, we were all given responsibilities around the house including helping out with our siblings. Natalie and I have always had a great bond and we were often paired together when we were younger. One of the things that I helped her with was her hair. I picked up how to french braid by watching my mom and other women do it. It became my job to braid her hair. Ever since then, I have always looked forward to the day when I could braid my own little girls hair in french braids! Gracie's hair is finally long enough to attempt it! Now if only she could hold still long enough... here are some shots of her first time getting braids... She held pretty still most of the time... we had to give her lots of fun things to do... but we managed.
The top part of her head is still a little too short (I long for the day when it will be thick and beautiful!) So, we had a improvise a little bit, but you get the idea.
She sure liked it when we were done! I love that smile!
The finished product... we haven't attempted it again since that day... maybe during conference this weekend?
