Dinnertime.

Dinnertime at our house has become such a hard half hour! Begging the kids to eat their food... dragging them back to the table when they eat a bite and decide their done... it's a wonder Jeremy and I get to eat with all the running around!
Graham has decided that he hates sitting in the high chair and will do almost anything to get out of it. (Ours doesn't have a buckle to strap him in or we would definitely be using it!) He figured out that he could slither right out of the chair a few weeks ago and has been doing it every meal since!
It doesn't stop him from eating! He just sits there and munches away! He thinks he's pretty hot stuff... (don't worry... we watch him very closely and don't let him do this every meal... last night was the longest we let him sit there). We gave in and let him have a spot at the table... he thought that was just about the coolest thing ever! Gracie thought it would be fun to take Graham's spot in the high chair. She got a stool and climbed in all by herself. She's not as good as Graham at slithering out of it and got stuck!

Looks like we need to invest in a bigger dinner table!

I feel your pain on the dinner subject! Harrison was refusing to eat for a while! Hang in there! Cute story though! Tell it at their wedding!

Sarah's awful at dinnertime too! Maybe someday they won't be so picky, right?

I remember Mom used to just use a belt to keep Nate in his high chair when he tried to get out. Maybe you could try that.

Yeah, we tried bungee chords tonight... he figured out how to get out of those... so we're going to go get a booster seat that has a belt so that he can have the best of both worlds... eat at the table and be buckled so he can't climb on the table. :)

We just moved Austin to a booster--he too thinks he's about the coolest thing ever. I feel bad--the poor kid is 17 months old. I want him to be my baby forever.
