yw.
I was asked to speak at our ward's Young Women in Excellence a week ago and last night was the big night. If you know me at all, you know that I really hate being in front of a crowd... big or small. It's just not my cup of tea.
Ever since serving in the Young Women's Presidency in our last ward... I've grown to love the program SO much. I learned more in that calling than any other calling. It was the hardest, yet most fulfilling calling so far. I jumped at the chance to speak to the girls.
The night was amazing. The girls cooked dinner for their parents which was so adorable. I got to eat some and it was super yummy! I was especially impressed by the meatballs.
My talk went well. I think that the girls really listened and understood what I was trying to tell them. It was fun to me to get out my old personal progress book and look back at my messy pink writing all throughout it... to read the goals that I accomplished in my youth... and to see how I progressed during those crazy teenage years.
I can't wait until my Grace gets to experience Young Women's. It is such an amazing program. It has truly blessed my life... both as a young woman myself... and as a parent and leader. I'm so grateful that they asked me to come last night. It was a night that I won't soon forget!
