our weekend.

My early morning shopping trip on Black Friday was a success! My friend Anna and I braved the crowds at Wal*Mart at 5am and had a good laugh watching all of the shoppers in the store. I think just about everyone was in the electronics department! I was amazed at the amounts of GPS', dvd players, cameras, and other electronic goods people were purchasing! Lots of people in Cleveland are going to have a Merry Christmas!
-------------------------------------------------
We've been using our new camera a LOT this weekend trying to capture every possible moment (it's like we're making up for the week we were without one!) I thought you might want to see what we've been doing... post Thanksgiving. If not... then humor me! :)
After our Thanksgiving with our favorite Rhodes family, we headed home and realized that we didn't really have anything else planned for the day since there was no family to go and visit... so we decided it was a good time to put up our Christmas decorations! The kids had so much fun. We opted to set up our biggest of our three trees this year since we'll only be in town for half the month. We let the kids have the smallest tree in their room and they are enjoying it SO much. Lincoln decorated it all by himself... all the big ornaments are on one side, and all the little ones are on the other! We found a solution for Graham's highchair troubles... (refer to previous post) He now sits up to the table with the rest of us... still in the highchair. He likes that seating arrangement much better! I don't mind sitting next to his smiley face at all!
Lincoln got some new gloves with Diego clips so he can't lose them at school (that's the plan anyway). The gloves have little flames on them... so he insists on having us call him "Flame man" whenever he has them on. He's so silly...

We figured out a way to get squirmy Grammers to hold still while we get him dressed in the morning... put the socks on his hand to amuse him for 3 minutes! It works wonders! We tried out some new hairdos during bathtime... aren't they stylin? We danced to lots of Super Why music together... next time you see Jeremy, ask him to do his best Wyatt impression... he's great at it! Grammers had to get his second flu shot... and he's cutting his second tooth... so he had lots of Tylenol in his system on Friday. He was falling asleep all over the place! This was our favorite position... right on Jeremy leg in the middle of an xbox game!We found out that our Medicaid covers free glasses every two years... and they recommend having children's eyes tested... so we all headed to the eye doctor on Friday afternoon. That was quite a fun experience! (it will have a blog of it's own... scroll down....)And last but not least... Grammers got to wear his first necktie to church today! He was one handsome little buddy! He was showing off during our Linger Longer by taking lots of steps all by himself! I think he's up to 8 in a row now.

---------------------------------------------

We had such a fun week with Jeremy at home. We stayed home most of the time because of the cold weather... it was nice to just be our little family... but we are SO anxious to see our Utah family in three short weeks! We're so thankful for our new camera!

I'm so glad you enjoyed your week with Jeremy home! Family time is the best- now that we don't have a ton of it, we try to make every moment count. Happy countdown to going home for Christmas!! :) We're leaving on the 15th too!

Chelle-
Mondays and Thursdays aren't the best for us... other than that, we are totally open. But if you can only fit us in on a Monday or Thursday... do it, we really want to see you guys! Can't wait to see you!

I'm going to have to try the socks on the hands bit...Isabella is sooo wiggly when I try to change her and she always tries to touch her dirty diaper. Gross! My boys never did that. It was fun to read all your new posts. You're such a diligent blogger.

Hey Chelle! Yay for your new camera! Also, I think we've decided that we're leaving on friday the 14th. We're going to drive, though, so we will be staying overnight and arriving sometime on the 15th. We'll pretty much be there at the same time! We'd definitely love to do something with just you guys. Just give us a call at the Roundy's and we'll figure something out!
