We had such a fun time going to the eye doctor... up until we were ready to leave and they made us wait in the lobby for ten years... we still don't know why they wouldn't let us leave.

Lincoln got to pretend to be a pirate when he told the doctor what each picture was. He did such a great job! The doctor said that he has better than 20/20 vision... I didn't even know that was possible! He tried to do the different tests on Grace and she just stared at him like he was crazy.
He was so brave when the doctor put the eye drops in his eyes to make them dilate! He only cried a little bit because he had no idea what was going on. The doctor had me stay on the other side of the room... but I ran to comfort him at the first sign of tears. Poor guy!
Lincoln was so good and took some pictures of me when the doctor was doing my exam. That was lots of fun! My eyes are anti-drop... anti-sticking anything in them... anti-puff of air. If you get close to them... they automatically close... I have no control. If you've ever seen the Friends episode with Rachel's eye appointment... that is totally me. Going to the doctor is right up there with going to the dentist for me. Not my cup of tea at all! I tried to be brave!
Here is Lincoln after his pupils got all huge from the drops that made them dilate. He was so good to open them so huge for the picture!
It was such an exhausting trip... they fell sound asleep on the way home! The end result... both kids have perfect eye sight... and Jeremy and I are both getting new glasses! Hooray for that!
