trick or treat!

We decided to go trick or treating with just our little family this year instead of with friends... it was such a fun night! We ended up going around the block and met some of our neighbors along the way which was really fun. Our kids won the prize for the cutest costumes... or so the little old ladies told us anyway... Lincoln and Gracie thought this house was so sweet... they had tombstones and this skeleton sticking out of the grass that sang songs to you! I'm surprised they weren't spooked by it! Graham thought this Trick or Treating thing was the best idea created! He was such a cute monkey people gave him double the treats! I was very impressed by the candy people gave him... well, not really candy... His bucket was full of teddy grahams, pretzels and a few little dum dum suckers when we got home. They must know that a lot of babies go trick or treating in our neighborhood! We were all scared out of our wits when this little witch appeared along the sidewalk! It was fun to see Daisy with her scary green face!
I think Lincoln's favorite house to visit was the Kalke's house. His friend Mayson was handing out the candy. He kept asking if we could go back and get more candy from Mayson! I had lots of fun handing out candy with Lincoln when we got home. He was so funny... he tricked all those trick or treaters. He'd hold his hand over their bag with 3 or 4 pieces of candy in it, but only drop one into their bags! The older kids didn't think that was so funny! Our buddy John came over and joined us for trick or treating and was nice enough to take a family picture for us when we were all done. Jeremy loves our tradition of watching a nice Halloween flick while we snarf down the candy. This year we watched part of Corpse Bride and all of the Charlie Brown Great Pumpkin movie. Grammers had a great time raiding everyones pumpkins! Our kids weren't into the candy like we thought they would be... probably because they've been eating chocolate all week long thanks to all the Halloween parties they were invited to! We hope you had a great Halloween!

Looks like a great night. We had fun too. We came home and bathed the girls and put them to bed. They were horribly tired. Then Justin and I watched Return to OZ. It was a nice freaky movie. Neither of us had seen it since we were kids.
