the birthday party.

Lincoln had SO much fun at his Dinosaur birthday party this weekend. We planned lots of fun games for the kids and had some yummy food. Jeremy did a great job leading all the games... the kids had a blast! When they arrived, we had them play 'pin the horn on the triceratops'. That was a big hit!
The biggest hit was the 'Save the Dinosaur' game... we had 4 dinosaurs hidden in the yard that they had to save. They had to use their little minds to figure out how to save them... They did a great job! Here they are with all of their "binoculars" looking for the next dinosaur to save...
We played a game where they had to get all the eggs back to the nest before the big T-Rex came...
They all got SO excited when the T-Rex came out!
The little girls surprised us! They absolutely loved it when the dinosaur chased them! A few of them got really scared at first... but there were no tears! We served dinosaur chicken nuggets, dinosaur bones (string cheese cut into thirds), dinosaur eggs (mini tator tots), and watermelon cut into the shape of a dinosaur. It was a very fun meal to eat! The kids especially enjoyed the bones for some reason...
Here I am cutting out the watermelon shapes the night before... it was my favorite part of the meal! They turned out so cute!
He was so good and shared his dinosaurs with all of his friends during the party. That's a huge deal for him!
His friends were so nice and got him such fun presents! Lincoln was in heaven...
While he was opening presents... a spontaneous wrestling match occurred!
All the cute kiddos pose for a picture before playing duck duck goose with the huge dinosaur... that game was hilarious! The kids loved being chased by the T-Rex! Here he is as we sing Happy Birthday to him... the wind wasn't being very nice and kept blowing out the candles!
Lincoln had a lot of fun 'digging' his cake to shreds after we served it... The last game we played... we had them all line up and race to the car... but, they had to run like their favorite dinosaur! That was super fun to watch!
Of course Jackson and Gracie latched on to each other and played in their own little world... I thought the party was a HUGE success! I had a lot of fun anyway...
