birthday picnic.

We went to one of favorite parks on Lincoln's birthday to have a picnic... only to find out that you can't grill there... so we went to one of our favorite metro parks instead. Once we got there... we realized that I forgot to pack any silverware... and Jeremy forgot to bring the lighter for the grill... and the park was really crowded (which Jeremy hates...) So, we were very worried that the picnic was going to be a disaster...

The kids had fun eating almost a full bag of cheetoes and doritos by themselves. We rarely let them have either of these since they get such a lovely orange coating on their hands and faces when they're finished... so they were in heaven.

We solved one of our dilemmas by looking around to see if anyone was smoking... then we borrowed a lighter off of some guy. :)

The kids decided to pull funny faces... we caught Gracie's fishy face...

Lincoln just likes to make weird faces for the camera lately... here's one of my favorites... (there are like 7 more that I could post). This is the face that you get when you let your 11 month old drink some of the Sprite that is the only beverage you brought. Yeah... we're super smart parents... :(

Not to worry... he was back to his normal happy self in no time! Jeremy really enjoyed eating the chicken like a caveman since we had no silverware...Graham's favorite part was the ice cream at the end! He couldn't get enough of that stuff! Our picnic was a blast... despite all the obstacles that were put in our way!
