On Saturday we went to see one of the Labor Day Weekend traditions here in Cleveland... the Cleveland Air Show. If you are rich enough... you can buy tickets and see them do all kinds of tricks and things... but we opted for the cheap route and enjoyed the 'free show' which was super cool.

The
Albrechts were nice enough to invite us along with them... they go right on the banks of Lake Erie where the planes turn around right above you...

... it was the best spot! The kids were able to enjoy the water, there are steps down to the water... but they stayed close to the top.

They loved running across the top ledge. Jeremy and I sat with them on a step lower and Lincoln and I got soaked when a big wave crashed into the stairs!

Andrew played with Graham quite a bit... Graham is a water baby and wanted to splash in the water SO bad! Andrew rigged this little trap so he couldn't escape!

Then they all decided to form a circle with their legs to see if he could find a way out! I was telling Claudia (the mom) about how much our families wish they could be here to enjoy our kids... especially Graham since they haven't seen much of him. She wanted me to assure everyone that at least he has lots of friends out here to enjoy him. She is in love with Graham! She is always telling me how sweet and adorable he is. We are so happy to have them to spend some of the holidays with!

Grace and Lincoln were dying to climb on these rocks near the water... Jeremy was patient and took them one at a time. Gracie is quite the little climber!

Then the magic began! The first jet flew right over our heads! It was SO loud!

Gracie got really scared and wouldn't let go of Jeremy for anything!

They seriously flew right over our heads... it was the coolest thing!

Graham was holding on for dear life! I have bruises on my arms today from his little grabby fingers! I had such a fun time holding him so tight and comforting him.

There were 6 total... I just can't imagine flying to close to another plane like that!

The loud noises lulled Gracie right to sleep... crazy!

The ride home was very quiet! :) We had so much fun! We'll
definitely be going again next year...

Where were you sitting?? We always go and stop on the side of the freeway. Your seats looked MUCH better! So you mind if I ask where you were exactly?
I wasn't really paying attention to the road... all I know is we went down Martin Luther King... we might have gotten onto the freeway for a minute or two... then we got off at this little marina type place. Horrible directions, I know! I'll have Jeremy call you and tell you where we were in the morning. Or, you can call the Albrecht's. They led the way! I hope you enjoy it!
Rochelle, Your little ones are so darn precious! I love that picture of them all zonked in the car. Nothing is cuter than a sleeping child and you have 3! It sounds like you're doing so good out there!
