A friend of mine called me Sunday night and let me know that she was having a little garage sale monday morning... so I dropped by first thing to see if she had anything for my little tikes. She has been so nice to call me as she's been clearing out her house this summer. I think her hand-me-downs are all that Lincoln will be wearing this winter! I hate saying good-bye to the dental students as they graduate... but it sure is nice to get their old stuff that they don't want anymore! Anyway... I purchased two little cars that my kids have had their eyes on forever and a day now, with hopes to save them for Christmas this year. But, on the way home I realized that they won't even be able to use them in the wintertime... so why not give them to them right now... as a 'just because you're great kids' present. Besides... it was Labor Day... we had to celebrate somehow! So, the kids began their search for their 'just because you're great' Labor Day presents. They searched the house high and low and finally peeked through the bathroom window to see their big surprise in the driveway outside!They ripped that blanket off so quick!Needless to say, they are in heaven. I'm so glad that she had two of them for sale... and only $4 each! I love garage sales!Lincoln was nice enough to let Graham try it out while he 'filled it up with gas' from the bushes nearby! It was fun to surprise them with a little something out of the blue!
