kid funnies.

It's been pretty low key at our house the past few days... we haven't done anything spectacular... but the kids have said some pretty funny things. I thought I would post a few of them.

• A few weeks ago Jeremy went to a dental conference down in Columbus for a day. He came home with one of those character drawings of himself that a vendor had drawn for him. You know, the kind you get in San Francisco or at a carnival or something? Well, we hung it on our fridge and everytime Grace walks past it, she'll say, "That's so funny, Daddy. Daddy's so happy!" and then she'll laugh her little Gracie laugh.
• We were in the car the other day driving to pre-school... Lincoln's friend, Daisy, was with us since the West boys didn't go that day. They were talking each others ears off, as usual, and I heard this conversation, "My mommy has three names... is that crazy?" says Lincoln... "Her names are Rochelle, Chelle and mommy!" "My mommy only has two names... Anna and Mommy." says Daisy. "I have two names too! Link and Lincoln!" says Lincoln. ".... but I only have one name! Just Daisy..." says Daisy. She was so distraught over only having one name... it was the cutest thing!
• Gracie has taken to calling me "momma"... not 'mommy' or 'mom'. It has to be 'momma'. She sounds like a little southern girl! It's so darlin.
• On the way to the grocery store this morning Grace looked really sad in her carseat. I asked her what was the matter and Lincoln said... "She misses daddy.... sometimes when we miss our daddy we just... well, we just give up..." I couldn't help laughing at that one.
