Labor Day.

We didn't make any super fun plans for Labor Day... we just wanted to have a laid back day with our little family. We ended up going to our favorite park and trying out one of the trails we haven't been on before. It was so nice to get outside in nature again! The trail we chose this time followed this little river for awhile... it was a little scary being that close to the drop off with our little ones... but we managed to keep them in tow.
There were several people on the trail and every once in awhile we would meet somebody with a dog. Lincoln likes dogs from a distance. One particular time a dog was coming and he took off into the woods! He gets really scared! We decided to stop and have our lunch on the trail. Luckily I packed a small blanket for us to sit on ... Gracie and Daddy opted for the log instead... Graham is the cutest when you feed him his food... he opens his little mouth into the perfect circle! He can down two jars at a time plus a good helping of 'real food'. He's getting so big!

Lincoln and Gracie found some sticks and decided it would be fun to 'write letters' in the dirt. It kept them busy while Jeremy, Graham and I finished our lunch.

Gracie had fun reading the signs... Lincoln assured her that it said... "keep going on this trail... it will take you to that same road."

The trail seemed to go on and on and on! We were all really tired by the end of our hike.

Gracie found a rock that she was super excited about... it's funny what keeps kids happy sometimes! We ended our day with a fun BBQ with friends over at the Wests house. Of course I forgot to bring the camera... but it was pretty much the same as every other BBQ we've had over there... it was fun to be surrounded by our Cleveland family for part of the holiday!

You have the most adorable family. Forgive me for eavesdropping on your website, but I came across it and love reading your posts. I'm still trying to get into the groove on having one that I just started last week, but feel free to check it out web.mac.com/missykiser You are the coolest and I wish we could have gotten to know you even better while we were in Cleveland. Oh, by the way, I'm starting a quilting class next week at the community college with a woman from my new ward. Thanks for getting me interested! --Melissa Kiser

Rochelle? Jeremy? Did my clicking around in the blogworld really just lead me your yours? Whoa nelly! It's good to run into you! What fun to see what you're up to! (Darling kids, by the way.) And now if you'll excuse me, I think I need to take advantage of the links on your page and go catch up with the old Grandview 2nd ward!

(PS: If I can backtrack correctly, I found your page after clicking on Anna Rhodes' page. Anna was my neighbor at Ricks, and my then-roommate (and her longtime friend) Tianna had her linked on her page. Anyway, that's how I found you.

Just wanted you go know I'm thinking of you. I've been meaning to call forever, so expect to hear from me soon. I'm glad to be able to see your family on the blog. Oh, and everyone here loves that quilt. I am always getting comments about how cute it is. Aaron uses it all the time, and whenever I look at it, it reminds me of you. Take care!
