We were able to find the cemetery one of our days in
Nauvoo. I remember visiting it last time we were there... this time the Spirit was SO strong there. I could feel the spirits of the saints. It was so neat to walk where so many of them walked.

We had to hike a little ways to get to the actual cemetery. It was a fun little walk for all of us despite the heat and humidity.

We found the
grave site of a Wilde ancestor, Edmund
Durfee. Jeremy has been very into family history lately so this was a real treat for him.

Lincoln is such a boy... he can't be outdoors without finding a stick to hit stuff with.

Some of the family in front of the
Durfee headstone. It was one of the few restored headstones in the cemetery.

It's a beautiful cemetery... it's very humbling to walk through it and think about all that the pioneers went through in the early days of the church.
Bethanie, Grace, Lincoln and Cameron pretending to be sad pioneers... they don't look very sad to me!

Mom, Valerie and Graham chilling on the bench. It was SO hot there!
Gracie, Lincoln and Bethanie found a great little caterpillar. They had a lot of fun watching it crawl around. The cutest part was listening to Grace trying to say the word "Capa-pillar!"
