On our way home we had some fun times...

Jeremy had to stop and pose with some corn. They grow some serious corn in the mid-west!

Our car has this feature that tells you how many miles you have until you are empty. At one point we were in the middle of nowhere and the car said that we had ZERO miles until empty. I have never been more excited to turn a corner and see a gas station! We could have been in serious trouble.

Our van... and more corn.

We stopped to visit our good friends, the
Christopherson's, who live in
Macomb, Illinois on our way home. It was so much fun visiting and catching up with them. I fell in love with their little boys,
Hyrum and Jacob. This is Jacob. He's so much fun!
LaSchelle and I. We always have to much fun talking to each other... it's a shame we didn't get together more often when we lived closer!

Link and
Hyrum loved filling the pail up with little pebbles...

and then they would throw them down the slide! Oh the joys of being a little boy.

Robby and his little buddy Jacob. He is such a cute little guy!

This park was loads of fun... it had all kinds of fun things to climb on.

Grace and
Hyrum. They were really fun to watch.

These two have been friends for ages. It was so fun to see how similar their lives have become. They both have two boys and a girl... they are both in school... they married girls who have names that rhyme (LaSchelle and Rochelle)...

Gracie and little Jacob became such good friends! They even hugged good-bye!

Two cute daddies with 5 cute kiddos! (notice the
binky snitcher!)

We all had a great time sleeping on the way home... We drove straight through and got home at midnight on Friday night. The kids were troopers... we couldn't have asked for better travelers!

I never thought I would miss that corn so much. I thought I would be glad to see it all gone. But I really do miss it!!
