the temple.

I've been to Nauvoo twice before... once with my sister, Missie, right after her mission here (she served in the Peoria, Illinois Mission). The second time was two months after we were married when the same sister married her sweetie, Justin, there. I remember how pretty the temple was back then.... but I felt something more this time we were there. The first time we came around the corner and saw that glorious structure at the top of the hill... I got chills. I remember turning to Jeremy and saying, "how can you not believe in the church when you've been to the temple?" I felt this love for my Savior and the Gospel and my dear, sweet family all at once. I am so grateful to live in this church. I know that families can be together forever. I am so grateful for that knowledge. (FYI: Lincoln took this picture... didn't he do a great job?)

The feelings you described, that is why if we could just get our investigators to visit Nauvoo and Carthage they would almost always be baptized.
