for becca.

This blog is especially for Jeremy's older sister, Becca. She served her mission in Rochester and was able to spend some time in the Book of Mormon Printing Shop while she was recovering from her gallbladder surgery (I hope I got that right...) Anyway... it turned out to be one of my favorite places in Palmyra. It was so interesting to learn all the little facts about how the Book of Mormon came to be! Here we are outside the building... Lincoln and Gracie were running a muck near this fancy window with Halloween decorations and wanted nothing to do with this picture... Gracie was so cute and wanted to hold the "Book a Mormon" all by herself. She flipped through the pages and kept saying "Book a Mormon... Book a Mormon" over and over again. The Sister Missionary was so nice and made the tour very kid friendly. She let the kids hold up as many things as possible for all of us to see. This was a print of the newspaper that posted the advertisement when the book was completed and ready for purchase. Very interesting. Gracie thought she was hot stuff when they let her hold the tools that held all the little letters that they used to print the books. Lincoln liked how they hung the paper up to dry. It was interesting to me that they let boys around the age of 8 help out with different parts of the printing process. That's Lincoln in a few short years! What a neat building! Becca, we thought of you the entire time were in it!
