One of my most favorite parts of the trip was when we were able to go into the Sacred Grove. We had talked to the kids quite a bit about what had happened here and so they were very reverent while we were walking through it. It was just so amazing to be in the actual Sacred Grove!

I had to snap this picture of Jessica headed into the grove. We were both in awe at the amazing fall colors on all of the trees. We picked the perfect day to come... it was such great weather.

Lincoln was so sweet walking around in the grove. I could tell he was really trying to think about what happened here. At least for a minute anyway... how much pondering can a 4 year old really do?

The trees were absolutely breathtaking. They looked exactly how they are pictured in so many paintings that I've seen through they years... but so much more beautiful in person!

A nice lady took a little family picture for us while we were sitting on one of the many benches talking about Joseph Smith (Graham was sleeping in the stroller that's why he's missing from the picture...)

I loved this part of the grove where a plaque pointed out these rocks. They are actual rocks from the old fence that bordered the Smith's land. I thought it was really neat to see them.

Lincoln and I had to snap a picture next to this sign. I still can't believe we actually went there! I can't wait to go back again...
